Your Bad-Ass Plan For 2019

How was your last year in business? What are your business plans this year to surpass last years revenue? Have you even planned where your revenues will come from this year yet? 

If you haven’t yet come up with your 2019 revenue boosting strategies, here are 7 steps to help you plan it all out.

NOTE: Set aside a full day to do this. If you live with someone, kick them out. put away all distractions, this is about you! Choose a space where you can spread out, brainstorm, make noise, stretch and get your creative juices flowing! Do you have a creative friend or assistant? Have them do this with you so you can bounce ideas back and forth.

As you are answering these questions and laying down well thought out strategies, remember, you’re a bad-ass. What would a bad-ass do?

Step 1. 

What are your big, hairy, audacious dreams? Dream big, dream bold and brainstorm the f out of this. What would a wildly successful year look like for you?

Maybe it’s reaching 10k a month? Maybe it’s saving enough to travel overseas? Maybe you want to buy a big ticket item like a home or an education…or a girl’s best friend? 

Step 2.

What are your non-negotiables?

A non-negotiable is something you will always do, or, never do again, and you will no longer bend this rule. At all. Anymore. Period. 

Everyone has a few of these. Here are some examples:

  • I will return emails the same day if it’s received before x time.
  • I will use one day a week and fully focused on me and my needs. 
  • I will stop making excuses for not posting on Social Media. 
  • I will have a savings plan this year. 

My favourite one that I’ve been doing, and loving, is I disconnect from work after 6pm. This means I put my work phone away, so my brain turns off of work mode and turns on to my personal life mode.

Take your time and reflect back on what behaviours boosted your business, and what behaviours did not serve your business at all.

Step 3.

What’s your number? How much money do you want to make in 2019? Choose a number that sounds a bit scary, and maybe slightly unreachable, yet reasonably attainable. Don’t worry about how you’ll make the money, we’ll cover that later.

Is 20k a month reasonably attainable? Os is that too small a number? Get ball-sy, I dare you!

Step 4. 

Look back to move forward. 

What was your biggest money maker and what was your least money maker? 

How big did your email list grow last year? 

What worked for you last year that you can take to the next level this year? 

What didn’t work for you last year that you can absolutely drop this year? 

Step 5. 

Calendar planning. What do the next 6 months look like? 

Focus on the next 6 months , instead of the full year, to avoid overwhelm. 

How will you make money this year – put in the dates and the number of weeks it will take to promote it.

eg tours, dinner parties, play parties, meet n’ greets, 1 on 1, a rubber doll brothel, etc. 

Just put it in your calendar and we’ll worry about strategy later.

Less is more here. Pick less than a handful of different revenue boosting ideas. Then do them over and over again all year.

I threw play parties called the LJX, charging clients 1800/ticket for 3 hours. I focused on this one event and eventually came up with its formula of success, and a regular client base who wanted to afford this type of event. I saw the things that didn’t work, learned from my mistakes, and grew after every event.

Now, crunch the numbers. ⭐️ Does the work you put out bring in the amount of money your efforts are worth? ⭐️ Do the numbers add up to the number you stated in Step 3?

5 months from now, do the last 6 months of the year and adjust according to how the first 5 months went.

What is it that you want to do, or create to increase your revenue this year?

Step 6.

How do you need to show up? Yes, this is a mindset thing. Reflect on the kind of person you need to be in order to hit your finish line at the end of 2019.

If you want to make different amounts of money, you must think different, feel your emotions differently, take different actions, speak different words and have the voices in your head say different things. 

Put some deep thought into this. Get vulnerable and be real with yourself. When you are able to acknowledge what is holding you back, you will be able to make the appropriate changes to get to where you want to go.

Step 7. 

This is my fave step – Get into action! But first, celebrate. Celebrate that fact that you planned out your 2019. Every win, no matter how big or small, deserves a celebration!
